UMI, a Florida-based importer and distributor of surfacing materials, opens its doors to a newly built stone warehouse and showroom space in Jacksonville, FL. This move follows their November 2019 expansion into the Jacksonville market with the acquisition of Any Old Stone. As a division of Construction Resources, UMI is making strides in their goal to become the number one stone supplier in the Southeast.

UMI – Jacksonville’s new 36,000-square foot indoor stone gallery was designed to provide customers with a one-of-a-kind surface buying experience, an important factor to their vision of revolutionizing in-store stone selection. “The goal in opening this new facility is to create a place where our customers can come in and truly turn their design into a reality,” said Don DiNorcia, president of UMI. “The upgrades we have added to the new warehouse and showroom in Jacksonville solidify our dedication to giving our customers a space to view and select from an exclusive array of stone for their projects.”

The new location is more than twice the size of the old warehouse, allowing UMI to inventory more material. Amongst the wide selection of natural stone, the larger facility allows UMI Jacksonville to now carry more than 45 different quartzites, while the previous location was limited to holding 3 to 4 quartzite options. In addition to quartzite, Jacksonville will house a unique assortment of stones, from exotics such as granite, marble and semi-precious to high-performance materials like Pompeii Quartzâ and the latest addition to UMI’s material selection, Infinity Porcelain. “Being able to provide access to exclusive materials that no one else is able to supply in this market is something we are very proud of.” stated Ennio Marcantuono, UMI – Jacksonville’s Branch Manager. “Providing our customers with a diverse material selection, paired with product expertise, allows us to supply them with not only an amazing physical product, but also with knowledge about the stone to take into account for the various design aspects of their projects.”

UMI – Jacksonville’s new showroom is located at 8686 Philips Highway, Jacksonville, FL 32256, and will

Customers are encouraged to schedule an appointment in order to visit the new warehouse and showroom, however walk-ins are welcome and face coverings are required. UMI is also offering virtual visits for customers who are looking to make stone selections from the comfort of their own home.

Since its founding in 2002, UMI has grown into one of the largest wholesale suppliers of stone products in the Southeast. Its countertop slab offerings include Pompeii Quartzâ, Infinity Porcelain, natural stone and recycled glass, in addition to complementary products such as tile and sinks. UMI has a diversified customer base, and the new Jacksonville distribution center joins three other design centers/distribution facilities already located in Naples, Tampa and Boynton Beach, FL.
